O My lord! All praise is due to You as is befitting to Your glorious presence and Your great sovereignty.
Ya Rabbi, Laka alhamdu kama yanbaghi li jalali wajhika wa atheemi sultaanik.
(لئن شكرتم لأزيدنكم) سورة إبراهيم آية ٧
Abdullah Ibn Umar (ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sas) spoke to them about a servant from amongst the servants of Allah who said: [this dua], and this became problematic between two angels, for they did not know how to write (i.e. record) it. They ascended to the Heavens and said: “Oh our Lord! Your servant has said something that we do not know how to write (i.e. record)?” Allah said and He is the Most Knowledgable about what His servant, has said: “What has My servant said?” They replied: “Oh Lord! He said: [this dua].” Thereupon Allah said to them “Write it down as my servant has said it so that when he meets Me, I will give the reward for it.”
